Clinical Care
Kids Smiles’ staff of more than 50 clinical and administrative professionals is dedicated to providing the very best care for children. Our licensed dental professionals treat over 600 children per week in our three dental centers. We also work closely with local dental and medical schools to teach students about oral disease and decay. This introduces them to a public healthcare environment and prepares them to care for at-risk children in underserved areas.

When children visit one of our dental centers, they can be assured of a safe, comfortable, and child-friendly environment. We use state-of-the-art technology to provide the highest level of quality care. It is our goal to reduce dental treatment anxiety and successfully treat dental health issues while maintaining overall mouth health.

Outreach & Prevention
Kids Smiles also takes prevention to the classroom. Ideally, all children would visit a Kids Smiles center. But parents’ schedules often do not allow for day-time appointments. To ensure that children are seen, Kids Smiles provides screening and prevention programming in more than 130 public, parochial and charter schools in Philadelphia and DC. We also visit more than 62 Head Start centers in both cities. Education and free dental screenings are provided, with personalized follow-up calls to families of children needing care in an effort to reduce oral health issues by visiting children early and often. We are also piloting a prevention program in select schools to offer x-rays, exams, fluoride treatment and cleanings to children during their school day.
